gosh, this arc in the novel was so traumatizing for me I didn't even wanna read it again—I even thought of skipping it this time. thankfully, the manhwa somehow feels like a summarized version of the novel's, so it didn't feel as heavy.
it's probably because the novel describes every scene and emotion in such vivid detail, leaving it up to the reader’s imagination to fully bring it to life.
