That beginning was honestly super useless and unnecessary. The story feels so different from the beginning that I literally forgot everything about how this shit even started until I was reminded again from reading the comments after catching up. Other than the start, this shit goes hard n I really like it. The characters are all very interesting n well written, and there is absolutely zero fan service. I literally can't think of a time where riley wasn't completely covered.

Also is it just me or does becky remind me a lot of sparkle from hsr

the opening to the story was pretty fun tho. it was a nice way to start it off plus it’s gave a good opening to why riley went into that library. had it just started with riley getting into the library we wouldn’t have gotten to seen a snippet of what grimwar’s personality was like lol

no like the beginning was completely useless and honestly just dark and depressing. it doesn’t fit with the rest of the story so far even a little. it honestly really pisses me off bc there was just absolutely no reason to brutally kill a kid. to show his personality? what a joke excuse

naur it fits. plus i see this story getting darker. also did u not see that flashback of when grimwar first tried to teach a kid and he died? plus if you think about it even a smidge more deeply there could be more to the story later that adds to that development? like why could that kid hear him in the first place despite having such low magic ability? and considering the kid was aiming to be a knight would he have such low coordination that he tripped over his feet and hit his head and died? why would grimwar be able to kill him so easily using his authority? i’m convinced you just said “ou kid died, story bad” and didn’t give it a second thought.
