The cheater and his mistress wasn't the usual over the top villainess they are more humanise and ask for Sophie's forgiveness. Still hate them tho, especially the cheater. Also as the cover suggest mc is with Sophie's brother and sophie ended up with cheater's friend (the other guy in the picture). The story with cheater and mistress is in 15ish chapter, and the mistress didn't appear for quite sometimes after chp 1.

Nope, they able to be together at the end mostly because they feel remorseful but sophie didn't care about them anymore 'cause what's important to her is friends and family that she can trust

damn! kinda hate that they ended up together at the end when they're the ones in the wrong. felt like they're only remorseful because they got caught.

Quick correction: Sophie ends up together with the cheater's younger brother, not his friend.

The cheater was originally the crown prince, but he agreed to step down because, after experiencing several things throughout the novel, he realized that he didn't want to be with anyone but Rosetta. After stepping down, he was given the non-inheritable rank of duke, and is forbidden to marry or produce children. All he gets is Rosetta. (One contributing factor to this is that Rosetta's father committed a crime that resulted in their lands and titles being taken away. Rosetta was just an innocent bystander, though.)

They're both cool with this situation, because at first, Rosetta was afraid that she wouldn't face any punishment at all. (Because their family barely qualified as nobles, having their land and title taken away didn't effect her at all.) So all these restrictions actually made her agree to stay with him, instead of leave him forever. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

And I'm actually impressed by the ex-fiancé, because he's more well-rounded than other cheaters in these stories. He doesn't villainize anyone, is a good judge of character, and actually investigates suspicious situations (such as Rosetta being bullied). He's also realistic enough to recognize that prioritizing his love means that he has no business as the crown prince, especially when he's aware that there are others more intelligent and worthy of ruling compared so him. So he's not entitled at all, and there's no power-tripping in this story.

And Sophie ending up with Prince Marion means that she's still going to be the future queen, just married to someone she actually has things in common with. Who actually loves her and intends to be her friend and ally--and, like Sophie, he really likes the FL. (=・ω・=)
