From what i've read the crown prince died when he went on a expedition to a city far from the palace and something happened there, the only survivors was the knight that we saw once or twice in the webtoon. And I think her mother died because she was poisoned by the villain concubine and her son ( you know the one that went out of favor of the emperor )

the ml will come soon, he's the son of someone who got falsely accused of treason and the mc will help him although Idk if it's true or not but you can find the spoilers in novel updates there's a lot of informations there( someone correct me if i'm wrong bc my memory can be wrong )

ohh yes she was pregnant and it was apparently a boy, so she and the unborn kid got both poisoned :(
