This isn't much of an update, but phoca was very active in 2020. Their last post on twt was in February of 2021. As far as im aware, there are no updates on their conditions/how they're doing, or if they plan to continue this anytime
Did they die in the end? I went to their twitter and the last posts I could see were from 2019
