it seems they parted for 4 years because Satoshi couldn't stand that Kaji was too friendly with everybody and Satoshi was afraid that someone could take Kaji from him. Satoshi became a doctor and one day he went to eat something to the nearest restaurant with his co-worker, doctor Kutani, and there he coincidentally met Kaji (he didn't work in that cafe any more, he quit after Satoshi left him). They met he other day again and talked to each other in a friendly way so Satoshi thought that Kaji didn't care for him any more. Then doctor Kutani confessed to Satoshi (they knew each other from the college), but Satoshi rejected him saying that he didn't want to lose a friend and they would end up hurting each other anyway. Kutani said he wouldn't give up and went to the cafe where Kaji worked, then told Kaji that he loved Satoshi, because he knew that Kaji was Satoshi's former boyfriend. All this time Satoshi was thinking about Kaji and their past. In the meantime Satoshi got a letter from Kaname and decided to meet him. He went to visit Kaname and his boyfriend with doctor Kutani and saw that Kaname and Todo still loved each other. After the visit Satoshi and Kutani went to eat at Kaji's restaurant and Satoshi talked to Kaji there for a moment. After that Kutani kissed Satoshi in the car but Satoshi was reluctant and went home. But Kutani went after him, forcefully gave him a handjob and asked for more. Satoshi said that he wouldn't have sex with anyone from now on (thinking that unless it's with Kaji it will be meaningless). Then Kaji phoned Satoshi because Satoshi forgot something in the reatsurant. Satoshi was too nervous to talk so Kutani answered the phone and told Kaji that they were busy right now. Kaji thought that Satoshi was in bed with Kutani and apologized for interrupting. Satoshi said it was good that Kaji misunderstood because he wanted to forget Kaji for good. Next day Kutani tried to forcefully kiss Satoshi in the changing-room byt Satoshi punched him and then called Kaji and said that he wouldn't come to the restaurant any more and wanted to say the final goodbye to him. When Satoshi came back to his apartment in the evening he found Kaji on the stairs and Kaji was in pain. It turned out that it has an appendicitis so Satoshi took him to the hospital, performed his first operation and saved Kaji's life. He was very proud of himself and started to think that he could become a good doctor, because he had always doubted this. So after all this Kaji came to him, said he loved him all along and wanted to give it one more try - so they ended up in bed and very lovey-dovey. "I will never give you up" and so on :)
Sorry for my English being so schoolisch and for this piece being so long but I was just re-reading this manga and describing what was happening. And I think Kutani deserves his own story, he's a nice guy...
Thank you!!! I liked your summary because it was long and detailed. I feel that being apart for 4 years and then coming back so easily was pointless. I feel they belong together but it feels like this could happen again.
Btw I love that Satoshi's cousin is still happy and together with his boyfriend, he deserved happiness.
yeah, my thoughts exactly, it was kinda rushed the way they got together again...Anyway, Satoshi seemed not to know what he really wanted all the time, he was all over the place, so the scenes when they got together were too short after all this mess. And I have to re-read Kaname's story, it got me in the mood :)
I CAme back after re-reading everything. I’m glad I did because I liked satoshi’s story in the beginning so I get this sequel is very disappointing. I see them breaking up again.
