So aside from the ML'S rotten personality, this behavior of Yeomin also contributes to how ML (Mr. Yeon) acts around him.
The ML is a total jerk and he acts accordingly so with absolutely everybody. It's not specific to his relationship with Yeomin and that's what people refuse to acknowledge. His secretary, his father, his female exes, there's not a single person who likes him in this BL besides Yeomin. Yeomin has such a pure soul that he only sees the good in people unless they harm him directly. He found some kind of solace and safety with Taeseo and he chose to prioritize that aspect over the rest (no commitment, excessive sex). He wasn't lied to. He was aware of the situation and he took the risk because he needs that kind of affection at the present time. I like that he's not naive or dumb. He knows how to put himself and his interest first whenever it's needed. Like when he kicked out Taeseo because he had to work early in the morning. Taeseo is cold and selfish and with Yeomin around his personality is finally evolving towards something positive although he's still clueless about it lol

Yeomin is such a tragic and pure soul for me. I do think that he sees the goodness in people but also has this toxic positivity as a coping mechanism with his situation. He doesn't expect help from people because he grew up running away and just helping himself. He never learnt how to rest. And the bar is so low for him. He appreciates just a trinkle of kindness because of his non-reliant to other people. In short, Mr. Yeon will always be undeserving of Yeomin. My precious baby born in a BL with a toxic and trashy ML.
Have faith in this author. Her previous project was amazing and I am sure she will do as good this time also. Taeseo is already changing and there's a chance he turns into the softest most loveable version (it happened in POTN if you know this BL). Yeomin will hopefully overcome his childhood trauma once he finds himself truly loved and cherished by Taeso and it will happen I can guarantee you that :))
I must say that aside from ML's lack of empathy towards Yeomin. I do think that Yeomin also draws a line when talking about his situation. Although I do think this is done unconsciously because of how he grew up. Look at the conversation when ML ask who did this to you. Yeomin answers but immediately follows with "I'm okay" "I can get back...". It's unfortunate but I truly think that due to not having a reliable adult around as he grew up, he didn't have anyone to ask for help. So he learnt not to expect anything. Not once did he ask ML for help nor divulge deeper to his situation not unless ML ask for it. Even if ML ask for it, Yeomin answers but always follows with a dismissal for help saying that he's fine.
I really want someone pushy enough for this baby to push him and let him rest on a comfy soft bed. Spoil him rotten with all the foods he haven't tried. AND MAKE HIM RELY and ask for help.
