YESS! Especially the backstories of the annoying characters who caused trouble and were basically useless besides being an obstacle. Like, idc if ur momma jumped off a cliff with Shrek, doesn’t make your actions okay.

Omg this is so real. Side couples are just, AGH. Another gripe I have is if the main characters somehow know each other since childhood. Like, some stories I can understand but do they have to put it in every single story….especially ones where it has no bearing. Like bro.
I remember reading a manwha where i was genuinely in love w the main couple only for the REST OF THE EPILOGUE TO BE THE SIDE COUPLE BEFFR and the only screen time they had was when the side couple was talking to them gtfo
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT!!!! i don't want to read about some side characters when the main couple is already so interesting! so annoying and sometimes it felt like there's no chemistry at all

I hate side couples (only for a FEW exceptions) but it genuinely pisses me off when I’m reading a manga/manhwa and all of a sudden it just all about the side couple like I’m reading this for a reason (the main couple)… let’s not side track here
AND I just hate back stories like boring ok let’s keep going with the main plot
