LITERALLY i was so confused when her friend was first introduced looking like a dupe of Jia from college like hello?
looking at her old look it's such an extreme change imo but maybe I'm reading too much into it and she just grew up.
I can see from this chapter where things will diverge and though mistakes are made on both sides at first, my issue will be how it continued afterwards.
Cause it's been years and Jia only just now stumbled onto her friend and the barista job she was putting up, by chance too and I can't quite put this feeling into words. I get that Jia is her own person and a FULLY grownass woman but now I'm side eyeing that friend double as hard cause how is she a successful full-time writer now, so successful mind you she runs a cafe for shits and giggles, if not for Jia's revised version. And thats whats itching me throughout this whole back story.
Also maybe I'm just reaching now cause I'm bothered but her friends current look is literally Jia's old look to a tea.
