Here , continuation my previous comment about the chapter that show how psycjo the ml is. In [ ] Taeshin letters:
"You wrote down the dog's complaints with great care."

He was saying that Ha-young's death was his fault, and that Tae-shin suicide was also his fault. Woo-jin didn't push anyone's back. He just did his job diligently and faithfully, The last piece written was not a diary, but a letter. It was a warning to Moon Hae-won, whom Lee Tae-shin believed to be a friend.

[Haewon, that person might come looking for you. When the two of you meet, you absolutely must stay away from that person. No, Haewon, you must run away. When you see that person, run away. Hyunwoojin doesn't love anyone. That person will eat you. Run away. Please run away.]
Lee Tae-shin must have had a premonition that Woo-jin and Hae-won would meet in some way after he committed suicide. He must have also known that if Woo-jin saw Hae-won, he would want to drag him to the bunker.
Woojin, who had been looking down at Lee Tae shin's notebook for a while, put a cigarette in his mouth and lit it. He put the two photos that Lee Taeshin had left behind between the notebooks as a clue to what Woojin had done and pressed the lighter. The flame lit up. He held the weak flame to the end of the notebook. As the wind blew, the flames sucked in oxygen and blazed fiercely. The fire began to burn the paper. For a moment, his face was clearly visible in the red flames. It was a face that was terribly indifferent, without any anticipation, sadness, or regret. Woojin held the end of the notebook and quietly watched the burning paper and flying sparks. The black plum tree that Hayoung had hung herself from also had this dark red color. The black plum tree that Hayoung had hung herself from was blooming petals in profusion.

The thick wick was completely burned, and Lee Tae-shin's last record and the letter he sent to his friend were shattered into charcoal. I threw the remnants of the completely burned notebook onto the floor. I stomped on it and crushed all the charcoal and ashes. Only the blackened traces, like the stump of a black plum tree, remained on the cement floor, leaving an eerie impression. Woojin finished smoking his cigarette and looked down at the ashen city. The neon lights illuminated his face in full view... "Run away?"
Run away. Run away from Hyunwoojin no matte r what.
Run away, Haewon. It was Lee Tae-shin, who he believed to be insensitive, who, like Kim Ha-young, had noticed Woo-jin's true nature. He was a snake, a murderer, and a monster who felt no emotions even though the flesh inside him was boiling and rotting.

That is the end of my spoiler, it is fucking scary for real, I like the author writing really, Like many said Haewon is special to woojin because he is obsessed but that guy is no less psycho by the end. The only reason he didn't do the same to Haewon is because he got obsessed. In his toxic love, you read him always describing Haewon as cute and how all the interactions when he seems normal are purely his faking or programmed behavior he displays because he analyzed Haewon won't run away or be easier to manipulate if he seems normal.

And this is just the part I like per se and find more informative over all but When you read other parts of the novel in Woojins POV, its scary, and you are able to realize how he saw everyone abusing Taeshin at that bunker and he was like, "Taeshin was enjoying it" Bru no he wasn't and he asked for help. Damn he really sick in the head

On the side stories they try to make you understand Woojing more, his psychiatric diagnosis and how he changes to become more human by falling or realizing he "loves" Haewoon. They show you how he feels things he never did or considers Haewons opinion important, how he now feels scared that Haewon will find out about his shady side or what came down with Taeshim and think badly of him. Yes the author makes him more emotional and human but sorry not less psycho, he's obsessession with Haewon only gets worse he wants to totally own and control him. Such a complicated dangerous character is a death flag.
