Im not comparing them. Read the novel to better understand the story. She’s not a goody two shoes like everybody makes her out to be. No sane woman would go out at night to retrieve her belongings where a man lives who is cruel to you. Why not go next day?

She loves him… from the start. She has an abandonment issue because of her parents. ML is known to keep his promises and carry out tasks to the fullest and “does not break” promises. Kyle was a no-go because he broke a little promise he made to her at Claudine’s party.
Thats exactly what I am trying to point out the other readers that she loves him from the start and she’s not a goody two shoes as she seems. We need to look this story from other perspectives as well.
I mean sure the ML is asshole, but she ain’t a saint either. PERIODT
