does anyone know

omg i can’t remember if this was something i read here but it was a certain scene that i cant get out of my head.
the scene was something along the lines of the mc quitting their job and the coworkers congratulating them about tying the knot or retiring (i dont remember), however the mc doesnt understand because they are actually quitting and looking for a new job and when they mention that they start getting condolences and gets super confused.
just wondering if im remembering correctly or being crazy, thanks!
