in just a page, she summed up what I wanted to say to all girls in manga squealing for a "prince". They shriek and go crazy; after all the shoujo manga I've read, they should know that they've got 10-20% chance of actually ending up with the prince, and so I don't get it... Why do they act that way over a school mate? (I guess the same reason why there are perfect boys in the first place?)
Unlike her, however, I grew up reading fairytales, and they greatly influenced my early years, including my current love for all that is strange, of literature, of stories in general...
I can't help it... And so I feel rather sorry for her for not having that opportunity.
It's fun to think of unlimited worlds and possibilities; it is what's great about childhood in my opinion. After all, according to the witch in Vassilissa, "If you know too much, you soon will grow old." That confused me, but as I grew older, I realized what it meant.
