I actually enjoy Mildred's story more. If I feel there is a lack of anything in this genre is love stories that feature older women. I've been out of highschool for 5 years now and I'm getting a bit tired of always reading about teenagers
I seconded this. It's refreshing to read about a mother, rather than a daughter. Don't get me wrong, I love her children. But mildred's way of thinking, Daniel's role and lore, and their love story is fascinating for me to witness too. I like Mildred more too because she is mature as she should, and is a responsible adult by being a good mother to her children, always seeking a way to protect and guide them to become happy in the future.
good for u, i personally prefer more excitement but one story with older mc that i absolutely love is a bona-fide killer/a married killer, i guess i just need more stimulation from stories
