4/5 Stars — The first few chapters are really bumpy and don’t exactly suck you right in (especially the sudden smut), but once you thread through those, it gets better. The premise of the plot is interesting, I like psychological stories and the characters are well developed, as well as the authors ability to transport emotions (dropped a tear or two here and there). The only thing I found a bit excessive and rather cold, compared to the (inner) dialogues, was the smut. It just didn’t feel as intimate, but most of the times as a tool and almost a necessity — Honestly, I skipped through most if it. Also the drama dragged on for about 10-15 chapters too long (for my personal taste, at least). At some point you know exactly what’s going on and just want them to talk it out, so it felt a tad repetitive and like running in circles. Other than that, it was a rather good read!
