How do you call that going down his own path? He said he wanted to end it, was confessed to, ecstatic, then interrupted before he could reply... he hasn't even chosen a path. It was obvious he was going to confess as well but, since he wasn't given the chance we'll probably have to wait till the next chapter or even the next depending on how long the author wants to drag this out. Also, its a common expression to say "grow a pair" which is just a way of saying "be brave/stand your ground" to a woman in just a different way so you implying I'm being in any way offensive to females is completely not true.
