Woojin (ML) need to collect prove of some disgusting elites and their debauchery. That Taeshin is the sacrificial lamb for that. So yeah, ML is a psychopath. He can't care about humanity or any living being dignity. ML can save Taeshin from that hellhole, but why should he? Anyway someone need to be put in that situation.
About, love. Idk. Depends on what is your description of it. For me it isn't love, but obsession. Because MC, (like any others cliche) is different from anyone.

could anyone who has read the novel please spoil? & who killed mc's friend? was it really suicide? with the way the ml is manipulating the mc, i'm guessing it's him but how & why? is he a psychopath? & does he ever love the mc?
