technically speaking. altho i dont kno the origin. the only thing i can tell you is that it mostly centers around the trope of dimensions with monsters in a modern timeline etc. (think omniscient reader's viewpoint/ solo leveling/etc and every other story that has a system as well and mosters)
it's guideverse cause that's the only thing really that doesnt change
(plus it's always the uke/label label that gets added to a universe/ -verse. example: "omega"verse)
the "esper" term could change to sentinel or hunters etc. but they basically kill hunt monsters or dungeons or quest idk. every author tends to tweak it a bit so theirs could be unique
you seldom see the guide's title change and you seldom see a change in their physical appearance.
(regas can be somewhat counted as one cause from their description they technically are a "guide" but just with a diff term but i dont want to hahaha)
there's been a rise with badass guides cause just like those in omegaverse
the ones from before are somewhat damsel in distress or weaker than an esper/sentinel/hunter/sentry/etc. that just gets caught up in disasters or issues (try reading Bloodhound they've got guides with bad ass superpowers and it's smutty so...)
aka most o the time they're just a normal civilian with relaxing powers.
Is it like the new omegaverse? Am i missing something? Is it related to like a recent big show or something? Can please anyone who knows the history of this explain i couldnt find anything but i want more
