i think stockholm syndrome is at play at some point here even though the story doesn't seem to recognize it as one.
plus knowing that caesar grew up in harsh, inhumane ways - his father teaching him to kill and kill like a machine and lee won's father's mafia who keeps trying to kill him since he is a child. lee won knows all of that, understands that caesar never knew how to be a human because he was never treated as one, he is a weapon to his father and a monster that needs to be kill to their enemies.
that does not excuse what caesar does to lre won but that explains his morality and why he reacts like that. caesar is inlove with lee won, desperately so but he was never taught how to love in an healthy way and possibly, he has no one to use as an example of a healthy relationship in the mafia world, the world he grew up in.
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ caesar and leewon's relationship are complex and i love seeing how they react to each other. at the end of the day, this is fiction and should be treated as such.
