Lol I know what you mean but what about supernatural stories where MC is high schooler ML is hundreds of years old it's "ok". Especially vampire stories.
you’re absolutely right but to be honest with you, after thinking about it I haven’t actually encountered many of those tropes with high schoolers. theyre most often paired with another adult albeit young. nothing comes to mind that I can compare to.
But you know how my mind would justify that? Bc their appearance is young, their maturity level at a certain age probably correlates to the human life span. But I do think the supernatural element also makes a difference.
