We definitely can't say anything abt the toxic tropes. They'll say "don't read" "find fluff somewhere else" "this is just fiction"" etc. I can actually understand but if we never read it, how can we know if it's disposable trash or recyclable trash? And after reading trash I will definitely go look for fluff but that's a needle-in-a-haystack situation since I have been reading bl for more than a decade. It may be fiction but it doesn't mean it can't be criticized right? Even a good/bad movie gets disected and commented upon.
