I totally understand that you find it boring but that's the reason it is yaoi. (the 10 straight chapter thing you said) you know there are many stories with slowburn at first then smut and all. You can always try it. Or just try reading Shounen Ai. It's better. Sometimes I do that too when I'm tired of yaoi's concept you know?

The point was you first/only complained about seeing a lot of sex, and they gave advice to read more shounen ai which doesn’t have that. That’s literally all.
Yeah you right—that was passive aggressive and my reply didn’t make any sense—I meant to also include how rapey a lot of the sex scenes are in yaoi and how tired of it I was but this review was never really meant to be that serious so I never really got to it— but also being told to “just read shounan ai” when I dislike a common trope in yaoi is annoying. Criticizing a genre or a catagory of fiction shouldn’t be responded with “well go read something else then” I’m allowed to criticize things—especially when I see them so often

I apologize for my previous comment—I think it was really late and I wasn’t really thinking and you were giving me genuine advice—I do get what you’re saying but I honestly just wanted to get this opinion I’ve had off my chest. I read shounen ai more than I do yaoi because of it and it’s kinda sad cuz I do like it when the characters are intimate—which you don’t see in shounen ai but you also don’t see much plot in yaoi and it’s frustrating to run into so much of it. You can’t really know when something is more sexual than plot based so I do end up disappointed half way through these mangas—there’s probably a few points I’m missing in this but that’s the basic take; I like characters being intimate together but it’s annoying to search for so long for a yaoi with plot only to get almost nothing
