i know this sound like an excuse, but the harem in the old china was also a power system, the concubine were used to secure alliances, even internal, that's why is always talk about who the father of the concubine is

I also felt the same when it comes to harem troupe, cause every story that I read or anime I watch with harem seems ruin and disgusting for me to continue further. Take it for example most of Action/Adventure or anime manhua from korea or japan has harem where seems like destroy the image of the cool Main Character. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
