    I mean it's based on like historical chinese events so brother would be more appropriate than hyung cuz hyung is more of just calling someone that is older than u as a sign of respect but 哥哥,aka brother is more of a familial term

    I Said that because they have Korean names and stuff but even Gege seems fine, because brother is almost always used for your real sibling while Gege can be used for people you’re REALLY close with… I guess it’s just cultural differences and how english evolved as using brother exclusively for real brother while in other languages it seems fine…

    Idk y the translator did that (still grateful for the translations tho) but using gege (for eng translation) in a murim is NOT fine unless translated into Chinese or the characters are
