To support their alibi, They want to appear oriental, exotic and make a statement about their cultural expression, is what I think although yes sometimes r really overdoing it so causes dissonance to readers as it's not even time period appropriate nor timeless designs
No offense but the dresses are like... soooooo not in trend, or feels too modernized that it feels out of place!! The patterns are cool and all, but they're not appealing to me at all and looks like cheap designer that's just me though I don't know shit about fashion
