I think that at first Sunbae was only trying to forget her ex by spending time with Ji-ho. Then she began to deliberately put pressure on Woo-hui’s feelings to make her take bold steps towards Ji-ho. It seems to me that she wants them to love each other because they have such an opportunity. Yeon-woo is missing her dead (I suppose) lover.
I am thinking about her words in chapter 42. And Sunbae was actually nice to Ji-ho, even if they have an open relationship, she is thoughtful in her own way.
Yeon-woo asked Ji-ho about her teenage photos, she remembered about her sickness, she seeks her company and wants her to share thoughts and her past. She is not just polite, she kinda cares. It seems to me that in the last few chapters Sunbae begins to feel genuine sympathy and pays special attention to Jiho's life.
