Totally not feeling this one.

The plot concept had potential to be a truly awesome and epic story, but all the emotion seemed drained out by the lack of connection between the protagonists. Too much effort was spent on a " love rival" conflict that went nowhere - I suppose in that respect the realism was spot on - and not enough time was spent on building the connection between the protagonists. Then, the conflicts are resolved and the protagonists remain apart. Again, spot on for realism. Perhaps that is my issue with this story. Manga is my escape from realism/ real life and I tend to dislike having too much realism in my fantasy world. I kept waiting for a happy ending and I got a gag instead.

If you don't get invested in your manga characters, this isn't a bad read. If you're like me and connect with the characters, you may want to skip this one.
