i dont think so with FLs ex, i genuinely think he doesnt know what he wants. he didnt see her as a woman bc she was convenient and always there, so he took advantage of it, shes also done so much for him so he feels the need to give back.
maybe hes finally realizing he cares more for her now that she doesnt reciprocate or act the way he excepts her to. we havent seen anything from his POV so its hard to read him and we have from MLs ex so i agree with your comment for his ex.
Yesss this. we know the ex isn't malicious, but he does seem to be unaware of his own feelings. He seems like the person who is forced by his family's pressure to concede to their wishes time and time again, and hence hasn't learned how to read his own emotions. I mean look at how his sister is so pushy, and how uncomfortable he seemed when our FL was getting close to his family, ESPECIALLY when he learned that fl has a relationship with his father. I think that moment pivoted FL in his brain about what kind of engagement he should have with her. He totally changed his tone the moment he learned of it! I think his father is a sore spot for him, or simply those who are his father's students.
Also, I do wonder who he was talking to on the phone to whom he just gushed all these feelings of platonic love towards FL to???!
Maybe his friends?? Or a family member that we haven’t been introduced to. Can’t wait to find out tho
