I think it has smth to do with John's ability not simply because of power. Because eventhough Sera is way more powerful than Remi she still could not sense the electricity or the chip inside the doll while Remi realized it. It was because Remi's power is lightning. But then again, who knows ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

That explains why John can sense the invisible attacker last time. Since Sera did not notice it, does it mean John's ability is about being invisible as well?
Or he can manipulate other people's ability or power. Thats why he was sensitive to it.
