They're not related! She's from a vassal family, which generally among nobility are families under the authority of grander families, not related. They mention her being from a vassal family a couple of times, unlike others like the blue haired kid or Martha who are actually blood related to Raon or adopted.

Yeah, I think they make it kinda obvious he sees her like a little sister probably, and like the other person said she admires his resolve and his strength. They have a cute type of dynamic that I think/expect won't go into the romance territory hopefully!
