I'll be honest and I don't care if I get hate for this but I understand why Seongchan did what he did. Like imagine living through a continuous cycle of being hunted down and killed and going through the whole cycle of pain and torture again and again. Like remember the torture chamber? Now imagine how many time all of them had to take turn being tortured by the killer in the game? In our eyes we see Seongchan as a backstabbing asshole twink that he is, no denying. But we also need to see that he was one of the top and smartest player beside Doha who got stuck in a constant cycle of mental and physical torture more than a hundred time with the hope of escaping seeming further each time. Honestly if I were in his place I probably would have become a senile underwear pissing lunatic with half a mind at this point. I don't condone his actions but I do sympathise and empathize with him.
