I preach this so hard, it’s hard to see at first (we feel like our MC is in the wrong obviously, but it’s also far more complicated than that) but they’re young and dumb and letting their feelings rule and taking everything at face value. I think a time skip is needed for them mature and grow. This relationship was unfortunately built on a impure premise (The MC using the ML as inspiration but eventually falling in love and scratching the idea, but in this way it still proved ML’s worst fear even though the MC’s love is so pure and just differently formatted) and I think it’s necessary for them to start from scratch.

yeah exactly! neither of them is perfect and they've both made mistakes and assumptions. so i'm very curious to see them a bit more grown up, and hopefully more settled in their own skin. and also a bit more open to understanding and communicating!

don't get me wrong. obviously he should've apologized I'm not defending him on that. but he's pissed off at him staying away and asking for clarification about their relationship after 2 weeks when he wasn't clear if they were completely done or not...how is dohu stupid? like he took him at face value. and i don't think he'd go talk to him at all if the friend didn't push him for it, because he DOES love him and wants to do what he asked of him
and yeah being neurodivergent isn't an excuse for people's behaviors, but if you understand someone and know they have dificulties picking up on social clues....come on. i feel like he didn't even give him the chance to apologize, 'cause he wanted him to stay away.
