i think it’s ignorance more than anything. They didn’t clock the crown prince how he was treating Franz at the dinner table bc the crown prince manipulates his words to sound like he cared for him when in actuality he was just putting pressure on him. The grand duke saw that but not their parents so yeah.

Okay, I’m so confused.
1. The royal couple really does seem head over heels for Franz, so how in the world did they not notice the abuse???
2. If they are really just a sweet couple, was the whole scheme just the prince working alone? Then it would be just him and not the actual royal family involved, no? But the way they talk seems like it’s not just one person, but the whole family.
3. I really hope they notice the abusive nanny while he’s there. PLEASE SAVE HIM
