he only keeps useful ppl around. ppl who do a needed job (it's why he saved him and brought him there, 'cause he's a teacher). if they're useless...idk if he beats them or just kicks them out. but i feel like he just loses interest in said ppl and therefore their wellbeing is no longer any of his concern. and the ppl know that.
but i do believe he just killed almost all of the rich ppl that lived there, and only kept the useful ones lol
hmm all the other seem scared/intimidated by him..? i think they have seen the ml beat/kill one the townspeople which is why the doctor was so adamant on telling the mc to make sure he is useful.
