I agree. There are comments from previous chapters excusing and reasoning ml out of this. But for me I cannot forget the suicide attempts that occured because he thought she won't die I want her to suffer.

1) Y'all have short-term memory and will soon start bitching on Annette so she can forgive Heiner FORGETTING THAT ITS HIS MACHINATIONS THAT BROUGHT THEM BOTH AT THIS POINT IN TIME....
2) The Author is bent on putting them across each other's path without any meaningful time apart or time skip where he hears zero news from her and her whereabouts...
this tragedy will probably bind them both in shared trauma NOT LOVE cause no matter what we think, these two can never love each other purely.. one side will always be short of the other and any mistake will be nitpicked to death...
The Author successfully made everyone forget about her MISCARRIAGE AND DOUBLE SELF ELIMINATION because of Heiner...
