Yes there is a novel and for the meds it's a yes and no. The meds they are giving him do help with his insanity and seizures, but it's also to keep his memories repressed. There's a huge secret they're hiding from him which is why Lisbeth and Lister are adamant on him taking his pills.
I really hope we get some karma soon, I want to see lister fucking dragged by a horse. I can’t stand watching him get away with this abuse. Also idk if this based on a novel but he’s def giving our poor boy bad meds right??
