Am I missing something?

Is anyone else confused? I feel like the last few chapters ended at weird places or I guess skipped a lot of context. I thought they discussed sitting Vincent’s fiancée right in front of him then all on a sudden it jumps to everyone drinking tea outside in the middle of a conversation, then Lucas says he was the one who blinded Vincent then it cuts off again and they need to leave the house..????
