I guess Zhenya has less hate because in the novel he’s gotten better. Even Taekjoo isn’t a green flag but more like a red flag. They both can handle each other which is why their connection grew better.
BUT HERE! We see the MC crying and wanting to escape. Haesoo doesn’t care rn if he’s harming his “lover” maybe that’s why Zhenya doesn’t get as much hate as Haesoo.

I think it is because he’s hotter. The way Zhenya treated MC is one of the worst I have seen, he didn’t even treat him like a human throughout most of the story. He doesn’t make up for it as well. To me it looks like BL fans always side with abusive tops as long as they are hot enough and they can fantasise about them. Most of you all seem like pick me girls.

Well it wasn’t until late into the novel when Zhenya realized he only gave a f about Taekjoo. There’s a second book which Zhenya thought Taekjoo died so he was about to off himself. Like bro is insanely only living for Taekjoo

We aren’t we just seeing that he physically and mentally changed for taekjoo. There’s some tops who don’t change overall meanwhile zhenya does. Zhenya isn’t a green flag and he never will, he is still a crazy guy but he changed for taekjoo. Plus taekjoo himself isn’t a green flag himself and he has done countless of crazy things as well. Codename is a villain X lover story unlike other BL stories so Zhenya uses force to humiliate or torture his enemies. Thats the difference of zhenya and heeseo. Heeseo loved the person he tortured meanwhile zhenya was torturing his enemies.
