I believe its abt what was explained very early in the manhwa. A person has 2 relationships, one matrimonial (marriage partner) and the other religious (one that provides aesther to them exclusively). For example the queen married her late husband, thats her matrimonial partner and her religious partner is the red hair cardinal. Both matrimonial and religious are exclusive partners of yours, both having their own assigned duties and roles. In this case, Prince Jess is going to be the religious partner of both crown prince and princess. He will exclusively share aesther to only these 2 and in return will recieve the wealth and honor. Crown prince and princess's matrimonial partner is each other. So to simple it out, religious partner are not romantic partners, so I dont think it should be considered as them being a couple with prince jess. Becoz with that logic, queen and cardinal will be a couple too, but they're not. Atleast thats what i think
