I think it’s because historically emperors were supposed to be unblemished since they are referred to as dragons, son of dragons, son of god, etc. In this story they really took it to a new level….in other novels and manhwas I’ve read emperors are lenient towards the women they love, but I guess he doesn’t love her anymore
