shoujo is simply a demographic not a genre and there's more than fluffy (het because thats why some of you think it is) romances that are shoujo PLEASE,,,, yeah its used for manga because of where the manga is published (under a shoujo magazine or not) but even then its just a target demographic.... bl can be shoujo, horror can be shoujo, sports can be shoujo, non romance can be shoujo
