Interesting but..

It rubs me the wrong way that ONLY women are being used as a plot device rather than real people.. I also don’t see this as yaoi, it’s more so a psychological horror in the same way killing stalking is. I think people should only read this if they’re going to take it like that, neither character should be likeable (for lack of a better word) and there actions should definitely been seen as morbid and grotesque. Otherwise good story idea?

bls always use women as plot devices it’s exhausting. they’re either pathetic and passive and easily swayed, or notches on bed posts so a character has status or they’re extremely hostile and hysteric. you’d think bls would be smth to read to avoid misogyny and patriarchy but alas

It isn't a BL when looking at mangabaka, it focuses on psychological horror with hints of interactions between the two.

I know, there’s just many people who are to hyper focused on the thought of bl to get that psychological horror is what it’s main story focus is ^^ i was just saying that because it’s probably gonna get ks treatment sigh

no seriously, even in omegaverse (which isn’t really my cup of tea) you’d think oh sexism can’t be there right but no it’s like doubled down making female omegas the bottom of the barrel in some cases

i agree that it seems more like a physiological horror story but being in the same arena and obviously drawing inspiration from the bl space, the portrayal and use of women in these male focused stories IS a problematic constant theme and that exhausts me to no end

don’t even get me started on omegaverse. it was an excuse to have men get pregnant but developed into a way to have men experience a woman’s role in a patriarchy regarding sexism in work life, domestic roles, sexual harassment and exploitation, and even things like periods, while completely cutting out women it’s so insane
