If you don’t like angst you might want to skip, it gets pretty dark. It’s not a fluffy story— there’s like murder and forced imprisonment

And yeah those guys did bad things, but that doesn’t mean the story doesn’t involve murder? It’s like an inherently angsty and sad plotline, where the uke plans vengeance for his friend that committed suicide, and ends up becoming the fixation of a sociopath during it, because forced into captivity against his will, because he wants to return home. I answered the question OP asked— it’s not a fluffy, sweet story. In fact, they are in love but I’d argue there really aren’t any “sweet” moments at all, it’s a bit controlling, although I like that type of comic so I’m not one to complain. But to say it’s not angsty because worse comics exist is crazyyyy bro
