Was this chapter really that complicated to understand ? For me it was pretty obvious that MC comes from a very loved environment, as the youngest, he is loved and spoiled by everyone which is why he’s the way he is, very bright, naive and oblivious. His mother isn’t sad because he’s gay but what might happen to her kind, bright, naive, generous son once everybody knows it. Because we live in a homophobic society. A society where differences are discriminated… She’s really the best mom ever, and Mc’s older sister too « I’m here for you ».
