Totally agree with you. Peoples attitudes toward this story really bother me - dont people really not see the importance of stories like this? And why should fiction only tell "easy" and "how it should be" stories and not stuff like this taht has really good intentions and care put into it.
i recently discovered this story as i perused the manga section of a bookstore, and it sorta stuck so i looked it up. it’s so crazy that i see bad reviews on this because as far as i have read, nothing glorifies pregnancy at a young age. this story really highlights how how hard it can be for anyone to come to terms that their life is going to majorly change one way or another. i really like the duality of all the characters because at the end of the day the mcs are children, and some people don’t take that into account, so i like how there’s a “mature” pov from her boyfriend and there’s also sachis pov. i feel as if people who say her boyfriend isn’t “realistic” obviously have not seen the amount of young men who actually have more guts to step up to be a father, than grown people. people tend to discredit teen parents due to them being young, obviously, but they’re always the ones i see who really work hard for their families. regardless of that whole ordeal, this story is so important to read and understand!
