Was about to write the same thing until I saw your post.
The main story was pretty sweet (the sexual assault notwithstanding).
Then, all of a sudden...
WHAM!
We all get kicked right in the feels.
For me, it was even more devastating because I wasn't expecting it.
The last chapter made me cry...
He said that when they grew up, they'll get married! He said that!
The fact that the other guy had to act cool and be happy on the man's wedding...
God that did it for me... *cries*
