like yes he was an asshole but all of that could’ve been avoided if they had just allowed them to exchange letters normally instead of being so controlling
when you really think about ml’s hardship, it all boiled down to an awfully controlling dad and getting deceived for a while. i cannot believe the audacity and lack of empathy to physically beat someone this bad… common people are desperate for money, this was by no means a huge offense??? he couldn’t even recognize his love at first glance, and even after all the evidence shown right in front of him too! the fatigue and deceit are the LAZIEST excuses
he didn’t go about the search smartly, and all he experienced was minor inconvenience. in the end this poor innocent guy took the brute of it and for nothing
