Excuse me, but as far as I can tell our MC has given no reason for receiving THIS level of hostility. She was bought, married, and brought against her will, by an unscrupulous duke. She has nowhere to go and has been keeping to herself to point of being a shut in. I get that this a rather embarrassing situation to be in because of the ages but you are antagonizing the wrong person.
