I mean, I don’t believe he’s playing him with. After reading it, at least to me, he came off like he was whole heartedly showing the seme affection, he’s just really goofy about it, kinda like a dog. Since the Uke is known to be a ray of sunshine, the Seme didn’t think he was actually into him. Their lack of direct verbal communication did not help either and that is pretty normal with these stories. They both low key assumed the other wasn’t into them and tried pushing each other away as a means to protect themselves and what little of a friendship they had.

Got cut off, my bad. As I was saying, from the lastest ch. we got to see how the Uke kinda leads him on then cuts him off since high-school. Flirting one second then encouraging to be with girls the other. Lee Yeon is rightfully frustrated with Ki hoon's action. Also, okay let's admit that he didn't put label onto those feelings but they clearly felt that tension and we know it. And the spoilers after this chapter didn't help me either because it's the same situation again— uke staying quiet while the Seme begs be acknowledged. Be brave to admit it if you were brave enough to flirt with him.

Remember. Uke could've ended this ambiguous relationship after high school but he continued everything in college. Plus we KNOW that he likes Lee Yeon otherwise he wouldn't do aaaall that. In conclusion, all I'm trying to say is that whatever the cause behind his persistent denying; he still decided to engage and indulge in this feeling.

I haven’t seen spoilers, I do know how these tropes usually go and whenever most characters show interest but also pull away by recommending they go with someone else they either:
1) Believe their person of interest isn’t actually into them so they try to remain at least as friends.
2) Have difficulty processing/accepting their own feelings.
3) Have circumstances that prevent them from fully pursuing their feelings.
4) Feel inadequate therefore believe their person of interest deserves someone better than themselves.
If none of the above, there is option 5;
5) Is just a manipulative ass.
(Which personally, based on the chapters I’ve seen, cause again, I have not seen spoilers. I do not believe he’s a toxic ML that is just taking advantage of him. I really feel like he’s got a reason for it and it’s most probably one of the reasons I stated above.)
You also have to keep in mind, as a reader, we view the characters differently than the characters themselves. We see way more than the characters themselves. So of course it’s super obvious to us that they’re into each other. It’s not uncommon for people in real life to go through situations like this and not realize what’s actually going on. Hence why a 3rd party’s perspective can be very helpful to people.

True. I also do not think that ML is toxic or manipulative or any kind I'm just frustrated on MC's behalf because honestly, you gotta admit that Ki hoon's way of handling all these feelings are not correct and he just needs to own it up. I'm frustrated because this is exactly what happens most of the time in bl it's either a pushover Top or a pushover bottom.
Why is he torturing Lee Yeon so much playing with his feelings like that? bro ur legs are getting cut off or something? If this behavior were to be displayed by a top than everyone would've lost their minds already but since it's the Uke— it's cute and goofy. Bleh
