Why must settle for a person who's attention and affections are available only when they're in his benefit ? Now that Sera is far more 'likeable' to the CEO guy suddenly he feels so much regret and wants to fix the past. No matter what his backstory was, he could've done something to comfort OG Sera. While Roun has been here since the start,, has always wanted and worked towards being integrated in the family, despite the cruelties of mother and daughter. He is just as much eligible to be the owner of the company as Sera so the whole " he's out to take her inheritance" bs doesn't work. He has cleaned up after OG sera's mess when he had no obligations to do her. His anger towards OG Sera can actually justified unlike the CEO guy who just didn't find Sera suitable to his sensibilities.
